3458 Chris who was GM0TQJ and now VE6CMV in Cold Lake Alberta Canada.
Chris would like to QSO with RAFARS Members and at present he is on 20m
SSB/RTTY around 1500 and 2000 UTC. He only has 100w to a W5GI antenna but
some of our DX members should be able to contact him. He also operates at
times with VE5PV a contest team.

COUNCIL MEETINGS 2009.
Jun 30: Sep 01: Nov 17: All meetings commence at 1200hrs.
Any member may attend Council meetings but travel costs can not be paid.

RAFARS DINNER AND AGM 
The Annual Dinner will held at the Grays Hotel, Telford on Oct 16th
The AGM will take place in the No.1 Radio School at DCAE Cosford on Saturday
Oct 17th at 1330hrs. Please note, to gain access to Cosford, members will
be required to provide personal and vehicle details in advance.
Full details will be published with the summer QRV.

GB2RAF AIR DEFENCE RADAR MUSEUM RAF NEATISHEAD RAFARS PERMANENT S.E.S.
NOTE GB2RAF will NOT be Operational on the 13 June (Second Saturday)
but will be Operational on Sat 20th June for Museums On The Air.
De brief for 09 May 09. Number of contact 51, conditions good fading at
times. G4PFR Jim took over the 1000Z Net and GB2RAF QSYd 10 up and
returned to 3710kcs at 1040Z. RAFARS Stations worked G3LOJ and G8QZ,
This Month I had Ted G7BQM with me all day, it was good to have a
RAFARS Member helping me out, who was on holidays on the Broads with his
XYL Sue. We had a good chat to Jim over the Net of memories of RAF Halton
RAFARS Club when the 3 of us were members and when Ted was our Service
Chairman. G0REO Peter who was on a Museum visit did pop in and see us, but
we did not have much time to chat. It was Mills Weekend also and we worked
18 Mills on the Air of which 8 of them had RAFARS Members in the crew.
GB2RAF should be QRV every 2nd Saturday of the Month 1000-1500hrs local on
RAFARS frequencies SSB or CW on 80m, or 40m if conditions are poor.
